Altior was ridden to victory by Nico de Boinville for the 2018 Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase storming home by seven lengths. The Duchess of Cornwall, Honorary Member of The Jockey Club, attended the second day of The Festival™ 2018 and presented the trophy to Altior’s winning owner Mrs Patricia Pugh, trainer Nicky Henderson and jockey Nico de Boinville.
At the 2018 renewal it was not only the horses and jockeys who won on the day.
As ever Ladies Day at The Festival™ sported grace and glamour and the exclusive Ladies Day Competition – known as #ColourMeMarch – was always guaranteed to add even more style to an already exciting event.
With prizes to be won from a brand new MINI ONE CAR from W.O. Lewis and Sytner Solihull, to a Boodles necklace and a spa break for two at The Lygon Arms we saw hundreds of entries for the competition.
From hats to shoes, to scarves and gloves, it was all about adding a splash of colour for Ladies Day.
With stylish outfits and music across the racecourse, Ladies Day provided an atmosphere like no other!
